ENVIRONMENT POLICY


EDG is committed to protection of the environment and the human safety of its employees and clients. We are dedicated to complying with national commitments that strive for a sustainable society over the long term.

Our objective is that the activities of EDG shall not harm the environment or have a negative impact on human health.

EDG will operate as an environmentally responsible citizen via:

• Economising on energy, water and other natural resources. The environmental aspects shall be taken into account whenever we choose raw material, manufactured products or distribution systems

• Complying with current Australian Government, State and Territory environment legislation, regulations, policies, initiatives and other requirements, and developing long term plans related to national legislation in the areas of the environment, health and safety

• Purchasing an increasing component of energy from ecologically sustainable sources

• Incorporating ecologically sustainable development principles into daily operations including preventing pollution and deforestation by reducing, reusing, repairing and recycling resources

• Utilising software that allows hardware to run on less power and require fewer upgrades, minimising electricity usage and unnecessary landfill

• Fostering an environmentally responsible culture throughout EDG by the involvement and awareness of persons working on our behalf
